Hanna Tikkanen Merk brings over 15 years of strategy, finance and  management expertise to Merk.  As a VP for Business Development, she  is responsible for charting and executing the growth of Merk  Investments spanning strategy and planning, new product development,  organizational development and recruiting.

Mrs. Tikkanen Merk holds a B.A. in Engineering and Economics from  Brown University, Rhode Island and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Prior to joining Merk Investments, Mrs. Tikkanen Merk gained  experience at Bain & Company and at Merrill Lynch managing teams and  serving corporate and financial institutions clients in New York,  London, Munich and Scandinavia.  In addition, she is a former  Director of Company Sales & Divestitures at Gammer Group  International, a boutique M&A company.

Mrs. Tikkanen Merk lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her  husband and four children.
